  • No, Kylie Davis is from RealContent. ActivePipe works with multiple content providers to offer content streams for our users.

How do we access the NZ specific feed?

  • The Australian and New Zealand content are not separated in the free feed. However, you can filter by NZ tags to access NZ specific content with the premium feed.

How to Master Email Marketing

If there was ever a time to take your email marketing to the next level, this is it!

In this webinar our product experts Craig Whitfield and Sheree Davies, discuss best practices and tips ActivePipe users can implement to send email marketing campaigns that cut through and provide your clients real value.

Craig offers some guidance on how email marketing can be a powerful source of value for your business. Sheree will then take you into ActivePipe and show you how to build your own best in class email marketing campaigns.

The questions asked by our audience during the live webinar have been answered below!

Q&A

Can I schedule this to send on a different time to our normal weekly ActivePipe emails?

How do I send this as a recurring email? Do you edit the email or go through the campaigns list and edit it that way?

  • You can do it either way! If you’re entering via Campaigns, in the “Send Email” module, just click the Edit button next to your selected email.

Can you define your own listings?

  • Yes you can filter down to just an agent’s listings for a particular panel, find more information on this here.

How do we add our brand blog content or content from other websites?

Where can I change the CSS?

  • The templates in your ActivePipe account are based upon your branding and any supplied style guides, including your fonts, logos and colour palettes. As the email builder uses a very simple drag and drop editor we don’t expose the CSS or HTML. More information on this can be found here.

Can we insert a survey into an active pipe mailout?

  • You can link to a third party survey via a hyperlink or button – see this article for more info.

How do I connect my account to our YouTube channel?

  • If you have a YouTube channel, this can be integrated with your account through your account Settings menu. Within the Profile tab, there is a Links section where you can type in the address of your YouTube channel, and then save changes to connect this to your account. Once connected, every time you click “Choose Video” it will automatically bring up the clips from your channel.

Do you have any suggestions on the number of articles or length of a newsletter?

  • Generally, we recommend keeping your emails concise, highlighting a few high quality articles or properties, rather than every single one. As a basic rule of thumb, if your email is getting clipped – it’s too long!

If I use content from a smartfeed are there restrictions on how I use it?

  • Content from third party blogs will require you to link back to the article on their website. Content from the Connect Your Community stream is owned by ActivePipe, which you are free to use as you please!

Can you edit the name of the email?

  • Yes – the name of the email is editable once you are in the email editor – right up the top.
Notably, this is just an internal reference, as opposed to the Subject (also editable in the email editor, beneath the email name) which is what your contacts will see in their inbox.

How often are the articles updated?

  • New articles are added weekly!

For Australian content, is it state based or Australia wide?

  • The content is predominantly Australia wide, however there will be occasional state-based articles.

Where do we find the NZ articles in the Smartfeed?

  • The Real Estate Voice has a feed with articles specific to NZ which is available in your smart feed under ‘Office Content’. Most content in the other streams will be relevant to both Australia and New Zealand.

Are there any notes that can be accessed as a guide of what you are telling us?

  • Sure, we have a Knowledge Centre which has guides on how to do this and many other tasks you might want to do. You can find it here: https://support.activepipe.com/

How to Master Your Database

With social distancing in place, now’s the time to master your database and build long-lasting relationships.

Hosting this webinar is Craig Whitfield, he’s been with the ActivePipe team since the very beginning and over the years has helped thousands of agents unlock incredible value from their database.

In this webinar Craig will walk you through the basics of how to use ActivePipe to streamline your prospecting & nurturing. He has a wealth of experience in the real estate industry and a toolbox full of powerful tips and tricks.

The questions asked by our audience during the live webinar have been answered below!

We have My Desktop CRM. Can we send an email through AP to all our clients, or only the ones who have come into AP?

  • Yes, you can send an email to all your clients with ActivePipe. Get in touch with success@activepipe.com if you would like some help setting this up.

Is there a processes manual for Activepipe we can access?

  • Our Knowledge Centre is filled with guides to help you. If there’s anything you can’t find in there, you can get in touch with success@activepipe.com.

How do we send an email of existing properties to buyers?

We have a new agent in our team – how do we create an ActivePipe account for him?

  • New agent accounts are currently set up by ActivePipe support, if you have new agents coming on board, or any agents moving on, please email support@activepipe.com and they’ll take care of it for you. This functionality will be given to admins, in an upcoming product update.

Are we able to set the INTENTS?

  • In short, no. The intent panel is aligned with the data discovery survey we send out and the way we map people’s behaviour which is in line with general real estate interests.

With regards to appraisal requests does this get emailed to you if someone asked for one?

  • Yes, appraisal requests will be emailed to you and you can find them on your dashboard as well.

How do we sub classify groups i.e developers, investors?

  • We integrate with your CRM, so if you have contacts classified that way in your CRM, then you can send to those audiences in ActivePipe.

How do we get Open Inspections invites to still generate weekly while we are restricted with not being allowed to promote set OFI times?

  • You can re-write the OFI reminder email and populate it with properties where there is an open for inspection time. The OFI email has been paused as a protective measure but you can turn it back on, simply get in touch with success@activepipe.com.

Does ActivePipe update our CRM or do we need to do that from the info AP gives us?

  • We do push back data to several CRMs, however not every CRM allows us to do this. In these cases it will have to be done manually.

Please walk us through loading a video?

Could we have some training on sending out our own newsletters etc using your templates in ActivePipe ?

Due to covid-19 we are in lockdown. Any templates to be sent to the audience to see if they are interested to have a virtual appraisal?

  • We don’t have templates for this, but you can create this email yourself and send it to your audience. Check out our webinar for best practices on how to do this.

Is there a way to attach a document to an email?

  • Attaching documents doesn’t work well with marketing automation. The best way to send documents is to host it on your website and link to it.

Can you please clarify GEO updates, is that do to with a suburb they wish to live in?

How to use content to connect

Providing your clients with relevant content is now more important than ever!

In this webinar we discussed how agents can be communicating with their clients to build relationships that will set them up for success both during and post COVID-19.

Hosting the webinar is Ash Farrugia, CEO of ActivePipe who highlighted why content is going to be so important in the next 90 days. Our guest speaker and content expert, Fiona Okeson from Partica, gave some practical tips on how to approach communications with your community. Whilst Henry Osborne, ActivePipe’s Head of Customer Success presented how to implement those strategies using ActivePipe.

The questions asked by our audience during the webinar have been answered below!

Q&A

  • Is the Real Estate Voice content relevant to NZ audiences or just Australia?
    • Yes it is. There will be new and current NZ content added in coming days, and there are also articles relating to buying, selling etc that will be useful across both the NZ and Australian markets in the Buying, Selling, Management and Renting sections.

  • Can we edit the content from the Real Estate Voice?
    • The quick answer is no as the content on The Real Estate Voice is free.
    • We ask that any shares via email and social media link to the original article on The Real Estate Voice.
    • For content that can be edited and posted on your own website blogs, simply visit www.partica.com and purchase/download the original article. The average price for an article is $50 and in some cases the article is already free so have a look and see what you can find to suit your needs.

  • Is the content specific to local states?
    • At this stage, the content on The Real Estate Voice mostly relates to the national agenda, however we are developing content to suit each AU state. Happy for you to get in touch with Fiona (fiona.okeson@partica.com) to discuss what you require to suit your needs.

  • What are the qualifications of the people who do write this content?
    • All real estate content is professionally produced by either current or past property journalists. We also source content from other media sources to make sure content is of high quality.

  • Can we upload the articles to the blog section of our own sites and link to them there?
    • As the content from TREV is free, we’re asking to link to the original article on TREV. For content on your blog, where you can download, edit etc, you can purchase it through Partica.com and edit it to be your unique article.

  • How do you set up a new template if you don’t want to use any of the ones already there?

  • I create email content for a team of 4 salespeople – can I duplicate the ‘email’ from one active pipe account to another? or do I have to create it in each account?
    • If you have Admin access you can simply create the email once and send it on behalf of all 4 agents. If you don’t have Admin access it needs to be done separately in each account. Please reach out to success@activepipe.com if you would like to enquire about Admin access.

  • What if I want to write my own article. Do I just create by dragging a panel and then write my own?
    • Yes that’s correct, I would suggest using the Text & Image panels:

  • Will this be sent to “Unsubscribed” contacts in our CRM?
    • No emails will be sent to contacts that are unsubscribed in your CRM. The subscription status from your CRM will be mirrored in ActivePipe.
